Astronomy

They have discovered a new Comet that can be seen with the naked eye. Pretty cool!
Our son loves stuff like this.

Meteor Shower

The peak starts right after dusk and lasts all night. The planets will be aligned in the West and the shooting stars will be somewhere in the NE or NW...
Any how good night to bring the Telescopes out...have fun!

Comet Tonight at sunset,3/10/13

Comet Pan-STARRS will appear tonight along the horizon at sunset.
Look to the West just after sunset and hopefully the sky will be clear.
So far it looks like a good night for stargazing.
You may need binoculars to see it but I hope it will be seen with the naked eye.
This is the first visit for this comet they say.
And it will be even better the next two night.
Good luck!

Did anyone actually see the comet? I looked out but didn't see it. Was waiting for someone to write about seeing it. Guess it was a no show.

I looked for it using binoculars for several evenings in a row - shortly after sunset - but never found it.
