A mysterious Scottish village appears for only one day every hundred years, though to the villagers, the passing of each century seems no longer than one night. The enchantment is viewed by them as a blessing rather than a curse, for it saved the village from destruction. According to their covenant, no one from Brigadoon may ever leave or the enchantment will be broken and the site and all its inhabitants will disappear into the mist forever. Two American tourists, lost in the Scottish Highlands, stumble upon the village just as a wedding is about to be celebrated, and their arrival threatens to break the covenant. Songs include Waitin' for My Dearie, I'll Go Home with Bonnie Jean, Come to Me, Bend to Me, Almost Like Being in Love, The Heather on the Hill and My Mother's Weddin' Day.

Looks like it will be a great show with a large cast -- and another "Summer Blockbuster" for Hill Country Community Theatre. This is a wonderful musical that our own "village" -- Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Burnet, Spicewood, etc. -- should turn out and support. After all, HCCT has been delivering uplifting and challenging stage shows for 24 years! IF some of you readers have never experience up-close, live performances at the HCCT venue, then by all means, grab a seat and a ticket for an evening of entertainment, and then become HCCT members for its BIG Silver Anniversary Season upcoming with a lot of returning shows that have been favorites of members and audiences.
