wireless antennas

Anyone using wireless antennas in the Granite Shoals area to bring in local TV stations? If so, what is the reception like, and what brand are you using? Walmart sells several models...also looking at others on line. Any advice appreciated.

I should have written digital antennas...sorry.

You can use this map to find out the approximate signal strength at your address. It appears to take topography into account since it shows good reception at my office on a hill on Main Street and virtually no reception at my house about a mile away, but down by the lake.

Good signal Tobyville

I live in the Tobyville/Quail Valley area which is about the same elevation as a lot of Granite Shoals. Excellent reception from an antenna on a motorhome just 12' off the ground.

Thanks...I checked it out re our address.....reception not really noted per the color coding.

Thanks ....still not sure as the antennas I've been looking at are either in house or short roof mounted ones.

I cut the cord a couple years back and got an antenna. I put mine in the attic facing the direction the websites previously mentioned. I just used the old cable line, disconnected it and connected it to my antenna. I get good reception except for NBC every now and then. I went through 3 antenna's until I found one that worked, I just tried it then took it back if it didn't work. Started with Radio Shack when it was around, but ended up with a roof one from Wal Mart, but just put it in my attic.

Thanks Brian

I bought a good antenna from walmart and mounted on the roof. I also use a antenna amplifier. I get 27 channels usually. I paid 50 for antenna and I believe the amplifier was under 20..
