Snow ??????

Any word yet on possible closings for tomorrow? Snow is supposed to move in around 9:30 am. Hardly seems worth picking up kids to have to haul them back home an hour later.

It should be interesting. The forecast says 1-2" of ACCUMULATION!

Listen for your phone to ring around 6a.m...we now have an automated message system that calls everyone that has a phone. Last lightning storm that we had we had unplugged everything before going to bed and when I reconnected everything the next morning there were 2 messages from the school about the delay start. One came in at 6am and the other one at 7am. If the roads are ok then they will go on with school as usual but that's not to say they won't be having to release them early!

I remember a couple of years ago when Jim Spencer was calling for a couple days worth of snow and it turned out that we had nothing, nada, zero, zip....for some strange reason, I think this might be more of the same, if any does fall, I doubt it'll be worth disrupting life.....on the other hand, it'd be really nice to be wrong and for us to get 1-2 inches of real accumulation of snow....

It has to snow now. I let most of my employees stay home tomorrow as they live in every surrounding town except here. I hate when they have to drive in possible ice. Therefore, if it doesn't get nasty, they lost the hours that they need just before christmas, because I was being overly cautious.

Bless you for caring. It may not amount to anything, but thinking of your employees is so important. Yes, earning Christmas money is also important. For many people around here this will be a lean Christmas. I work in social services and I see it all the time. Maybe they can make up those lost hours sometime between now and Christmas.

Well let's see now, the snow storm predicted seems to have come and gone with much ado about nothing, it snowed at my place for about 30 minutes, with no accumulation (at least where I am south of the river) and unless there is something way out to the west of us I think that once again our local weather casters mislead us....

JWebb, I don't think I could have stood not seeing our lawn for all those months even as beautiful as snow is!

Nosefornews, yeah it''s a big disappointment especially for the kids! The winter is still young yet though and who knows what the heavens have in store for us!!!

Just seeing that little bit fall from the sky was quite a beautiful sight!
