Holy cow! The trees are still loaded with leaves and they are insisting we are getting snow on Friday! WOW, only in Texas! When was our last decent snowfall? Valentine's Day of 2004?
I'm excited for the kiddos though. Our youngest hears the stories of our older kids experiences while we lived in Arkansas and says, "NO FAIR! I want to move there!"! Hahaha, yes son it does snow in Texas!

It would be exciting to have snow - for about 30 minutes. I lived in Chicago for FOUR WINTERS and I don't want to have to shovel anything.

Oh no JWebb you have to understand that even a 1/4 of an inch of snow here is a really BIG deal, hahaha! We never had to shovel the snow in Arkansas, thank goodness. The last winter we were there we had a record breaking 13inches, haha. Being from Texas it was a big deal for us and is one of our fondest memories. The kids were actually able to snow sled down the hill by their school that year. Thank goodness we had gas heating up there and a gas cook stove! It was beautiful for the first two days and then I was ready for it to melt...tired of it being tracked through the house!

Imam, I grew up in Seattle where the kids loved the week or two of snow we had annually. Of course our parents had a different opinion since Seattle was not prepared for snow. In Chicago we never saw our lawn from November until late April and it was COLD.
That's why I moved to TX 34 years ago - I got here as soon as I could :-) I will be as excited as the kids if we get any snow at all tomorrow.

JWebb, We got plenty of snow here in Houston area! lol Who would have thunk it!!! We are building in Marble Falls and expected to get it there, not here! lol It snowed ALL DAY! That's twice this year it has happened. Nice to see, but glad it's gone! The world comes to a stand still around here when that happens. Anyone from up North gets a good laugh at us I'm sure!

TexasStar, we moved here from Houston 3 years ago and if even a flake or a hint of one fell there I headed for the house. Everyone freaked and drove worse than usual :-)
