There is a new serve yourself Yogurt store just north of the bridge in the new shopping center in Marble Falls. My wife and I stopped in and really enjoyed the Yogurt and many toppings. Patrons pick up a container and go down a line and get one or more of many types of Yogurt and then top them with fruit or sprinkles (there must be 20 or more). When you make your selections you go to the cash register and place your cup on a scale and you are charged 42 cents an ounce.

We both gave them a thumbs up!

I give it a thumbs up as well! I tried three flavors and several toppings and all were delicious. The price was surprisingly less than I expected.

I definitely will be back!

I'd add my opinion on "Fresh & Fruti" Frozen Yogurt. I has both creamy and "icy" (sorbert ?) types and many fruity flavors. It's not a franchise but owner by 2 couples from Marble Falls. One of those couples is Phil & Connie Hiser.
Since a gripe of mine is the lack of addresses in this forum-I'' give them.

It's in the new construction on the East side of 281 and before the bridge as leaving MF.
I was impressed with the quality, taste and friendliness of the owners.

Since we're heading into winter, do they have anything that is served hot and can be used to take the chill off?

Not unless you want your yoghurt heated!

When we visited the new yogurt shop I asked the owner about the wisdom of starting up such a place just as cool weather was setting in. She said that surprisingly the busiest season for ice cream shops is in the winter. She seems to have done her research and we were very impressed with the shop.

Tried "the new yogurt place" on Saturday and had to return again today. Really impressed with the quality of the shop -- the decor, the service, and the atmosphere. Able to sample the different flavors and the cups are large enough to mix-n-match. Wish Fresh and Fruti much success! Make sure you try it out.

(Oh yeah, they're open every day. Until 11:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10:00 pm Sunday. I think it's 9:00 pm during the week.)

I would have to dispute the thought that winter is busier for ice cream. My IC sales are less than half during winter months what they are during summer. I will say that I have been told that the best time of year to start up is late fall. I just know that clouds hurt the business. It can be 40 and clear and I'll move IC while it can be 60 and clear and my sales are way down. Never figured that one out.

Tried the new yogurt place last night and will definitely be back. The flavors and toppings were very good and the price was very reasonable, $8 for my daughter, wife and I.

Went there last night - coupon in hand. It's our anniversary weekend and our son is out Grandmas. It was fantastic! We couldn't stop talking about it as we ate. What a great idea! It's cheaper than Marble Slab/Coldstone (plus we don't have any of those here) and you're not nearly as pressured to choose what you want.

We will definitely be going back - our 18 month old will love it, too.
