I got tired of having to go to bunches of different websites to find out what is going on where out here, so, I started one that is attempting to fill that gap. Live Central Texas Music (http://www.livecentexmusic.com/) is live and has quite a number of great shows listed for the rest of October. I tried to get the main venues in Burnet, Llano, and Gillespie Counties with some others from the San Marcos/New Braunfels area. The big places in Austin get all the publicity -- the smaller ones don't get much attention.

I know I missed places and performers. Please do help me by either posting your finds here or dropping me an email from the site. Of course, you may log comments there, too. Over the next few months, I will add more information on the venues along with articles on the performers.

The web site you created is really nice.
You might contact the local entertainment venues and let them know about this valuable tool. If they don't know about it, they can't post their events there.

Great site! I am a Gary P Nunn fan. I usually find out about performances after it's too late. Wish we had a few more venues here in Marble Falls, I don't like to travel that far.

What's the name of that old movie theater here in MF? They had Michael Murphy a couple months ago and due to lack of advertising, I never knew about it until I happened to see people standing out lined up for the performance.

Thanks, Wolfe. The entire beauty of the site is I post for everyone. Most of the venues post their schedules and I just go .. harvest. Most don't understand that I do it just because it is something *I* want to use and well, share. I have already had one venue and one band asking to be added. I think that is pretty good considering how new the site is.

The Uptown Marble will have Mike Blakely and Pauline Reese on December 12th for their Cowboy and Cowgirl Christmas Ball. It sounds like a hoot - I really do enjoy both of them. They don't have a lot of events at this time of year, but do check their website.

Primadonna, Gary P Nunn's date at Poodie's might be your best bet for a local date on November 20th. He's on my list to see, too! Poodie's isn't really that far, and perhaps we can get a car pool going to some of these events. I do have a goal to hit every venue I have listed at least once in the next year. He's on my list to see, too!

Thank you all for the great feedback. Tells me I was on the right track. Just watch the site mellow and mature!

This is a great idea. I have created a shortcut of the site to my desktop. Thank you for your efforts.

Thanks so much for this--I too usually find out about music events after the fact. This will make it so easy to plan our music dates!:p:p:p
