The Highland Lakes Christmas is for Kids, Inc. toy drive is going strong in our 21st year. We raise funds and buy toys for children in the Highland Lakes that would otherwise have a very bleak Christmas. We are accepting donations at Box 1750, Marble Falls, TX 78654. You checks are welcome in any size.

Our organization is very proud of the fact that our only administrative expense is the cost of our po box and mailing one fund raising letter a year. All other donated money goes to the kids. Starting about Thanksgiving we will have donation boxes around town, look for the name "Highland Lakes Christmas Is For Kids". At this time we are still taking requests for boxes but for sure they will be at both American Banks of Texas.

If your family, civic club or youth group would like to help we will be sorting on Friday, December 16th beginning at 6pm in the foyer of the Marble Falls Middle School. The next morning we will start at 9am and should be finished by 5pm.
You don't have to stay all day, just the time you can spare.

If you have questions you may call Robben at 693-4512 after 5pm.

This year the Highland Lakes Christmas Is For Kids Toy Drive will be trying something new. We will be participating with the Annual Christmas Parade.
The Annual parade is held the Saturday before Thanksgiving and is the kick-off to the Walkway of Lights. This years parade will be on Friday, November 18th and will begin 5:45-6:00pm, depending on when it is dark. The parade will travel southbound down Main St and end at the Walkway of Lights. The Toy Drive will have the very last vehicle in the parade. Bring your new, unwrapped toys and we will pick them up.

This is a trial run on this, it works well in Austin and we think that it can work here. Our primary concern is SAFETY. We will have adults walking beside the trailer and will come to you to pick up your toy donations. Please, do not allow your child to run into the street. So, pick up a new toy the next trip to the store and enjoy the parade on the 18th.

Hope to see you there!
