On Sunday afternoon around three or four oclock, our neighbor from across the street came over to tell us that someone shot their dog Sam, a beautiful dog with solid black medium length coat. He was sweet natured, loved children and even smiled at you when he wanted you to pet him. They think he slipped out from under the garage door Sunday and went over to the next block to take a swim in the lake. We live in Granite Shoals to the right of last water tower. Someone shot him:mad: with a 22 caliber gun, after being wounded he made his way back home to their front porch and when she came out she saw that he had been wounded and after taking him to the vet found out he had been shot in the side, Sam didn't make it and now the 2 children (boy about 7 and girl around 3 or 4 are grieving for their best friend and mom and dad are having to try to explain why someone would do such a thing to the dog. If anyone saw or:secret: heard anything around that time in the area of park 6 and Oakwood please notify the police dept in Granite Shoals, any help would be much appreciated.
