This hurts. I hurt. Please keep the family and the entire county sheriff's office in your thoughts and prayers.

A Burnet County sheriff’s deputy was killed early this morning when his car veered off the road, possibly because he struck a deer.
At about 1 a.m., Frances David Blake was responding to a major wreck on Park Road 4, about 2 miles south of Highway 29, when he over-corrected and skidded off the road, Department of Public Safety officials said. Blake’s vehicle struck a tree, went airborne, then struck another tree, DPS said. Officials are investigating the possibility that he veered off the road because he struck a deer.
Blake, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene. “Sheriff (W.T.) Smith and co-workers … are deeply saddened by the loss of this fine officer,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Blake had worked a the sheriff’s office since October 2004, starting out as a jailer then transferring to patrol work as a field deputy earlier this year. He is survived by his wife and four children.
