Ever wonder why Greenies and certain politicians champion all electric autos, that cannot be used outside of a city? Oil is not the reason, it has for many years been the dream of the Democratic Party to stop the mobility of the electorate, then they will be able to better control us. How much of a reach is it to envision the Austin city council banning gasoline autos in the city limits. Most electrics will run between 60 and 100 miles per charge, park and ride sites can be placed in Leander and Bee Caves so you could get on an electric bus. You go through Wimberly to drive to ABI. I will give them 5 years to pass an ordinance. The dominoes will fall Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, then Ft Worth.:secret:

That's the business my oldest is in and it is a very hot field to be in. He spends most of his time out in Cali though because the P.D.'s out there are using them. These are only 3 wheeled though...easier to zip in and out of their traffic nightmares I'm sure.

I don't think you are too far off base on your predictions and it will be interesting to see what happens. If they do pass the ordinances they better be ready to sink a lot of money into the biking lanes! Not too many common folks can afford something like that.

Yeah, the whole auto energy business is shady. Drivers who have electrics are not paying certain taxes and such like you do on gas soooo now they are wanting to sock the electric drivers with extra taxes. The thing is there are other technologies out there but if anyone creates anything that will put an end to big oil, something "happens" to them. Take Stanley Meyer for instance, who created a water cell that powered his dune buggy. It made main stream news and Meyer said he could market cheap ways for people to drive using nothing but water and polution free exhaust. Just water vapors. Meyer's was first visited by the pentagon saying they were interested talking with him about using this technology for military purposes. Then we was visited by big oil, who wanted to buy the patent and hide it away. Meyer's refused because his creation was for the people, not big oil to hide away. Well, not long after that Meyer's died. Poisoned in fact.

Just goes to show that big corperations and big banksters run things around here and big government is in their pockets.

Maybe so, because the government, corperations, & bankers have your best interests at heart, and not the hundreds of billions of dollars they get commiting fraud using loop holes at the expense of the American people.

IMO Immune made an honest comment or opinion. He aint drinking the koolaid and most likely does not wear a Tin Foil hat.. Sounds to me his eyes are wide open to the realitys of the world.. The story he mentions was fishy to say the least. How the man died is very odd.
Does anyone think the Big Corporations , big oil or the goverment dont seem to be running the show. If a person comes up with a great idea that the big guys see as a threat to their money train you can bet they will use their money, power or Influence to shut them down if they cant buy their idea..

I fully believe that the loopholes are put in place by congress for their own benefit. However, we are eligible for those same loopholes. A good bookkeeper and CPA will help you utilize all available loopholes to your advantage.

Also keep in mind that although big oil posts huge income, it is not all profit. My DQ grosses nearly 7 figures a year, but that ain't profit. I am considered a millionaire by DC's standards but that ain't true either.

Big oil makes a few cents per gallon of gas. I read a study and it's like 3-5 cents per gallon. It is a huge risk and expensive undertaking to bring oil and gas to the surface. Why does DC and those here pile on big oil? Pile on big computer or something. Their risks are not nearly as expensive or dangerous. Why not pile on them?

I have no doubt the loopholes are for the benefit of congress. But were does there influence come from?. Big oil is one influence even if a small one. BUT influences come from many BIG Corps as well. One can look at Political contributions to see it..

I,m not against the Oil companys or drilling or them making a living but I can see that even that industry would not want to lose buisness by having an inventor make a product that could undermine the bottom line. I think every buisness big or small wants to lead their field..Question is how far are they willing to go to keep that lead? I like to call it the competetive edge.

lol well some can try to get through the same loop holes but unless you have them in your pocket, it isnt going to happen. You have to have them in your pocket so when Obama care comes out and every employer is required to provide health insurance. (but not "every employer") there are exemptions to the big corps like McDonalds for example, or everyone having to pay taxes. Oh wait GE dont! I challenge any business to try to get away with that and see how far you get without getting the book thrown at you. No one can compete with big corp when the government is in their pockets. Oh, and if they run out of money? No worries, while the guy with the local dealership is going under, The government is giving money hand outs to their competition while they are sinking like the titanic.
Tin foil, koolaid, black helecopters me all you want but as Caretaker mentioned, My eyes are open and I am awake and aware with what is going on in this country.
I consider my self unplugged from the matrix and once you are unplugged, you see things happening in a different light. And from what I see the future isnt looking that great for our sold out country.
