I was treated very bad at "Car dealership" in Marble Falls ... Very,Very, rude people , I asked to let me think about the deal and the door was opened by a man standing there and paperwork was tore up on the spot because I would not give answer right then and there . I have never been treated like that before who do these people think they are ??? Does any one have info on how to report this business ?
Thanks ,

Call the owner and report it to them, if that's not satisfactory then report it to the Better Business Bureau - though I'm not sure being rude is something they worry about.

Name names. That's a pretty good report. Be sure you are factually accurate, though.

Well when you walk into a dealer which is small town dealer . I did speak with owner and I guess his so called bodyguard which was rather large man . All I suggested was let me think about it and the rather large man opens the door and the owner tears up the paperwork like you need to just leave if you are not going to give me an answer right now that is BAD business ..... The dealership was "Gilliam Auto Sales" I think the customer has the right to decide and does not have to bend over for the dealer if the dealer wants peoples business they need to treat the customer with a little more respect . They just lost a "CASH" paying customer due to there rudeness !! Just because you own a business does not give you right to be that way towards any customer !! I have taken my CASH eslewhere and was treated very respectable and this business gave me time to think it over ....

Good luck with the BBB. That means nothing to outfits like this one. These guys buy cars at auction for say, $1800. They put them through a car wash and steam bath and then put the on the lot for around $5,000. They WANT you to "finance it" through them with 10-20% down. They offer weekly payments at outrageous interest rates. They also WANT you to miss a couple of payments so that they can keep your money, repo the car, run it back through the car wash, and start all over. If you do make all the payments, you end up paying over $8,000 for a car they paid $1800 for. This is a slime ball business. Try asking them why the finance price is different than the cash price. Make them explain it to you in small words....THEY CAN"T! You say the weasel in the office needs a bouncer? Go figure!

I understand the need to sometimes go to a corner car lot, however in the long run you're always better off trying to work something out with one of the reputable major dealerships especially with their used car sections.
Like JakRussll said, if you're going to a place that says 'Buy Here, Pay Here' or 'Low Weekly Payments', you're probably not working with someone who really cares what you think or how well you're treated.
The BBB isn't going to help, unless you've been ripped off in one way or another a complaint about attitude or atmospher isn't going to go very far.

Jakrussll is right. But let me also add this about the buying that used car lots do.. They get them cheap and when you see a down payment price on the window.Thats usually what they paid at the auction block. See it works like this. If they get that down payment shown then they have essentially made their investment back right off the bat..The rest becomes their actual paycheck in a sense. And if its financed thru them its even more of a paycheck in the long run.

I had a different sad story with a different used car dealer in Marble Falls. My Geo Metro had a problem with the transmission, and as the car is 13 years old, it really was time to try to get a new one. I try to live within my budget, and thought I had a good shot at getting a new car when I saw the full page ad in the Picayune, stating this dealership worked with just about everyone, etc. etc. etc. I did some shopping and comparisons online, and we even stopped by and looked at what they had in the lot on a Sunday so we would have peace and quiet to shop. The website was great, showing their stock, their Internet price, and even what typical financing would run. Too bad what was in the lot was quoted at least $4,000 higher than what their website showed. Also, the financing they touted on the website was purely dismissed as not being available.
That just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but what was even worse was trying to get a salesman to at least listen to my question and understand my need for a car. He totally dismissed me, saying they had nothing under my target $8,000, and that I should just go into Austin and buy a new Hyundai or Kia. Wow... business so great that they don't even want to negotiate? So great they want to turn away customers? I did take his advice, though, and got outstanding treatment from a Hyundai dealer in Austin. They worked with me before, during, and now after the sale to make sure I was well taken care of. I strongly believe in buying local, but if our salespeople are going to treat us like this, why should we support them?

Be Careful of Austin Kia come ons (water tower guys). They approve you (our children mid 20's) online or via phone with the down payment available and the whole game changes after you have wasted half a tank of gas and an afternoon. Even had to leave with 6 month old baby in pouring rain and gusting wind. Best to deal with folks you know and will see at church and community functions, at least then they have to face you in public!

I was wise to that ahead of time and didn't even consider going to the water tower guys. I can highly recommend the other guys!

I have been there, only we did purchase a car from him and ended up paying more for repaires and had to pay him to do the repaires. After paying off the car, he said that it cost to much to report it to the credit bureau and if need be, have someone call him. He is a rip off and not very nice, plus if you want to smell his cigarettes and cheap colgne just stand outside his office, he stinks to high Heaven. This is just my opinion.
