Hi, I was just wondering when the bluebonnet festival will be and when is the best time for all the bluebonnets to be out. :)

I don't think this is going to be a good year for bluebonnets because we did not get enough rain this winter. We have some in a planter where I work and they have not been seen, so far, this year and they normally are up by now. Someone told me they saw "two" by the road in Kingsland this past Saturday but none anywhere else.

This is not the year for bluebonnets. as my wife says look in someones flower bed. I have very few showing at my ranch in Llano county, and the ones I have seen are very small and close to the ground. Last year we were covered up with them, but not having any rain in October or November when they germinate has ruined this years crop.
