I was glad to read today that the Administrator is doing every thing in his power to help the residents find new homes and try and help the employees gain employment elsewhere. That says A LOT about him as a person especially in light of what just happened in Austin.
Lots of memories for us as a family within those walls...some good, some bad.
My dad loved watching the birds come to the feeder we sat up outside his window those last few weeks. After he passed my sister and I bought a big Bird Bath and donated it in his memory because it just seem fitting. With the facility closing however I have to wonder what will happen to it and everything else other families have donated? If the facility is going to be used as another care facility then I don't mind it staying for others to enjoy. I just do not want it being thrown away or whatever is going to happen to the rest of the things...
I have no clue how things like this work..

I have "heard" that the building will be taken down and another type of care facility is to be built.

Imam88, why don't you call Northwood and see if you can "rescue" the bird bath. You could keep it safe until another facility is built or even take it to one of the other care centers in the area.
