I wanted to draw everyone's attention to some of the new features on TheHighlandLakes.com. You need to be a registered member (which is FREE!) and logged in to take advantage of these features:

Social Groups (http://www.thehighlandlakes.com/group.php): Create and/or join groups of people with similar interests. You can create public groups or private invitation-only groups. Each social group has their own mini-forum for group related discussions and messages.

Albums (http://www.thehighlandlakes.com/album.php): Now you can create your own photo albums here on TheHighlandLakes.com. You can choose to make your albums public or private. Post up pictures of events, your photography skills, or whatever!

Calendar (http://www.thehighlandlakes.com/calendar.php): OK - the calendar is not exactly new. However, registered members can now submit calendar events directly. Just go to the calendar page and on the bottom right are links to add events. Once you add an event, one of the moderators will proof it and approve it for publication. This will result in events getting added to the calendar much quicker.

Chatroom (http://www.thehighlandlakes.com/misc.php?do=flashchat&room=1): This allows you to chat with other members in realtime. Right now the chatroom is open for anyone at anytime. At some point in the future, we may schedule chats during important events such as elections and major sporting events.

If you have any questions about any of these features, please let us know by posting in this forum category. Enjoy!

I think there should be a section for that.If people cant be civil then they dont have to participate in the discussions..I,m new to this forum but from what I can see there doesnt seem to be very much to talk about as far as topics. Maybe a politics section would spice it up a little.

You mean liberals can't come up with any facts to back up the nonsense they post. So they just call Conservatives nutjob wingnut and many other names until someone gets tired of their bs and :smack: Am I getting warm! I say if they can't handle being called a rabbid commie....... if the shoe fits wear it! If not just blow it off.
