I thought the magazine section that the Austin American Statesman published on Marble Falls yesterday was well done. It should attract many visitors to the area. Was wondering if any of you saw it and what you thought of it.

Not to worry........they will be sitting in traffic on 281 like the rest of us. That will slow them down.

I know most of your retorts are tongue in cheek, but the visitors, and they certainly are not all Austinites, since the Statesman has a very wide readership, may bring traffic, but they also bring dollars. Sales tax revenues, and M.F. collects a pretty high share compared to its population, are certainly welcome in keeping M.F. infrastructure running . . . and restaurants from closing. They also may be visitors one weekend or one or two days, but they may be our neighbors in a year or two or five.
Tip of the hat to Christian Fletcher and other Chamber of Commerce folks for making sure the story was told in a balanced way . . . and probably encouraging advertisers to spend hard dollars as a group to make a great showing.
Merry Christmas to all those who participate in this healthy forum.

I look forward to the day that Granite Shoals could produce such an insert to attract out-of-town dollars (and sales tax receipts).
