Does anyone have any data on a mountain lion that was hit by a car in front of Camp Balcones in Smithwick?

We are on the other side of Hamilton Creek from there. Been here 30 plus years and have met mountain lion. Not sure who ran faster! Get a good farm dog. They will run them off with a good barking and lion will go where folks make it easier to get a meal. PS check out pros and cons of breed
but our best has always been those we rescued.

Ok, I was just wondering :)
I personally don't know anything about it, but I'm not surprised. We also live in the area and I have seen them from time to time, Bobcat's too.
We used to own what is now Cloud Canyon ranch, when it was called Crystal Falls, and I have seen 1 or 2 out there.
Usually donkeys are good to have to help protect cattle, goats, etc. I'm not sure what type of animals you have....

There are mountain lion's all over this area but they usually try to stay away from humans however, their habitat's are constantly being shrunk by building.

Mrdonkhan, It's been a few days since you asked about the mountain lion.
Did you ever find out for sure?
I'd want to know if it was really a mountain lion also.
I'm very close to that area.
I've never seen one, but I have heard their scream during the night.
They can get very loud. I was told they make that sound when they're
hungry and miss getting their catch.
Had you every heard that about why they scream?
