Thought I'd start this thread because I know there will be a lot of fun things planned for kids (young and uh, less young) this next month.
Schools and churches alike plan Fall Festivals in October and there are usually LOTS of alternatives to the usual "Trick or Treating" on October 31st.
If you know of something -- get the word out here! Although the school activities are usually fundraisers, most of the church sponsored events are FREE. What a great way to keep your kids entertained and get you connected with other parents in the area, all without a blow to the wallet.:hyper:
Remember to post them on the calendar too!!
:gr_jest: Here's a few I know of >>
Burnet Elementary Annual Fall Festival (games, activities, outdoor play)
October 24th @ 1:00 pm (I think it usually last until 4:00 pm or so)
Tickets cost for games, but it's pretty inexpensive
ThankFALL Festival (food, games, prizes, facepainting, outdoor play, etc)
Sat, Oct 31st @ 5:30 pm (last until around 8:00 pm)
Church at The Epicenter, Hwy 281N, Burnet
All free!
