The Burnet county Commissioners passed a burn ban as of yesterday.
Burning is now illegal and violaters will be fined $500.00.

THANK GOD! Our lil man is having trouble enough with his allergies already. Even when it is legal to burn I have my doubts that the materials that are being burned around here are legal!

Wonder if it will be cancelled after we get that 2-5 inches of rain heading our way. Tropical storm Hermine.

I hope not but probably so. People don't use any sense and wait for stuff to dry out after it rains before they try to burn it either. It just sits there and smolders for hours and sometimes for days.:(

If you stop and think the last 3 times a Ban was placed it rained within 3 or 4 days. Good job Commishes!:D
