Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, 12/15/1791.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a of grievances."

In the past people have posted offensive material on the site, and have bitterly complained when their posts were deleted or they were told to quit doing so. And often they would then begin complaining about their 'Freedom of Speech' being taken away from them.

Since it seems that this site will be even more popular than the previous one, it's important for everyone to remember, this is a privately held and operated site, none of us have complete freedom of speech on it (except for the webmaster and the editor that is), and those who run it have every right to moderate it and watch the tone of the postings.

There are numerous other sites where people are free to rant and rave and cuss and call people names and do almost anything they want to, this isn't one of them.

So a quick suggestion, if your initial impulse is to type out a personal insult to something you have read or disagree with, take a deep breath and figure out a way to express yourself without alienating others.

I've always typed out what was on my mind and then deleted it and typed what I wanted to say, works out better that way for me as they are not always one and the same!

Reapp, many's the letter that I have typed out and then decided to sit on for a while. Later, I re-read it and I'm really glad I did not send it. Emotions don't work as well as cool heads and reason. That is compounded in this day and age with emails, which can not be retrieved once sent.
