Did anyone else receive theirs from PEC? How is it a business can OWE their customers money and NOT repay it? I am not talking about just a little either and cannot even imagine what they may owe others with businesses, larger homes or those that have more then one home. Sure is A LOT of double standards going on that seems to be "legal". Think we could get away with not paying our bills for say 6mons to make up the difference?
Sure would be nice if we had another company come in here to give them a run for their money!

Yes, our notice arrived. Sure would help a lot to have that money NOW. Such a tease -- October.

PEC will use your credits to improve the service for the future. This could require capital investments. It is highly unlikely you will get that money because they will need the money for upgrades. Theoretically, if their investment back into the business is less than the revenue they make, we would get a refund. However, this is very unlikely and even if it occurs, it would probably be less than what your credits indicate.

Funny about that. I belong to another telephone coop, and they by golly give you your money. Regularly.
Probably because nobody in their organization stole it, and it's there to give.

Too bad we cannot get our coop to provide vawt, see link
http://www.rooftopwind.biz/ (look like roof vents) more of these made in USA! http://www.ecobusinesslinks.com/vertical_axis_wind_turbines.htm
or solar that sticks to current roof, no kidding, peel and stick on!

We used to be able to purchase appliances through our butane and utility suppliers and pmts were made monthly with bill. These sorts of alternatives to purchasing power from LCRA mostly produced by natural gas would help us start turning the meters much more slowly (maybe even backwards!) with our available sunlight and breezes..
These would feed directly into grid so if owner is not using all available it would help power the rest of the system.
Surely since we are the largest coop in the USA we could have some great purchasing power. Cost of systems could be credited by usage and CAPITAL CREDITS!.
These are not large ugly bird killers, take a look at these alternatives as they have now been around for a few years and have a proven track record.

Funny! I am a member of Central Texas Electric Coop, too. I get a check from them every year. Just empty promises from PEC. I bet it is all pretty closely tied to what they pay their big bosses. You know, salary, bonuses, company vehicles, etc. After all, they work hard for their money, unlike the rest of us.

That is the biggest problem a bunch of people have with them keeping OUR money! If it was a small town mom and pop business that truly needed our money for operation cost I don't think their would be very many of us complaining.
Sounds like a couple of State Reps are closing in on them though so it's going to interesting to see what winds up happening.

Like the bosses who promise bonuses "if we exceed profit projections," and then buy new equipment and take a company trip abroad to down-balance the figure to meet or fall below the projection . . . .
Yep, PEC is our POWER boss. Bend over and take it . . . like a "customer," not a partner or a member. I looked at my $$$$ for the year and then the $$ for the previous period and wonder what happened to my 17 other years as a "member" of this co-op? Puh-leeze, STATE LEGISLATOR, stay on top of this bunch of "funny accounting" club folks!
