:mad:Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Im in GS and someone stole 2 packages out of my mailbox. Made a police report just wanted to give everyone a heads up that your packages may not be safe if they come regular mail. :mad:

I live 2 blocks from phillips ranch road. Awhile back my son seen someone taken mail out of other peoples mail box he tried to follow them to see where they live but he lost them. Thinking then they were taken those $5 gift cards that walmart mailed out to everyone.

Oh ok, we live on the other side of GS. Was going to say I would keep an extra eye out. People are getting so desperate...

Thanks for posting the alert Linda.

I have had a problem with mailing from my mail box. Twice I have mailed an envelope with a check inside that never arrived. I too live off PRR near Maple. Needless to say I now take any mail I have to the PO.

Speaking of the Post Office, I have heard we are about to lose ours in GS! What a bummer...:(

Hi Linda,,, how do you know the packages were stolen? Maybe they never arrived? Just wondering.

Now just FYI, Home Depot sells a locking mailbox, very sturdy too. Might be a good idea.

By the way, I do notice that the mail carrier doesn't shut the mail boxes all the way sometimes. I have seen this quite a bit, and it has happened to mine a couple times also. The carrier seems like she is in such a rush that she doesn't have time to make sure she closes it good.

JSKR The reason why i know someone took them is bcuz they opened both boxs took the stuff out of them and threw the boxs they were in into the ditch. The mail woman doesnt shut our mail box 99% of the time

You need to report this to the post office and the postal inspector. Tampering with U.S. mail is a federal offense--it doesn't matter if it's at the post office or in a mail box.

I got a call yesterday someone "found" my jewelry. That was stolen out of my mailbox. I posted 9 signs around GS glad they worked. I ordered the jewelry for my niece for her birthday. Just glad they were returned. :D:D:D
