I logged on to get the supply list for this year and noticed there is a change. They are requesting that the kids have clear backpacks this year so you may want to start looking around now.
The ones I am coming across look flimsy to me so we may be buying two! You can see through the mesh ones as well...
I feel this is a smart move on our district's part and shows their dedication in keeping our schools safe! We are blessed...

Bench Mark Tests are being given today, tomorrow and Thursday! Once again parents have been left blowing in the wind on this!

Clear backpacks may be good for security measures, but are sadly lacking in the health department. My daughter, long gone from here, carried about 35 lbs of books every day, in middle school. That can NOT be good for young kids.

I just read in the paper on the internet about this "texting the Dripping Springs quarterback". I agree with it that society has gone toooooo far with the lawyers and jail time and all, but if these kids are so good and just made a mistake, the parents should have to pay if they are under 18. Parents nowadays are NOT raising their kids with manners and such. Kids talk dirty because their parents do in front of them and most people say nothing. Parents talking to their kids using the f word and all. That is not considered spending time with them in a good way. Yes, I agree parents need to spend more time with their kids, but not that way. That's just teaching them that its OK to talk that way. Kids tell their parents to shut up, etc. Come on parents, teach your kids in the way of the Lord or PARENTS pay the price!

Was constantly stopped in stores etc. by teachers and school staff that would tell me how refreshing it was to come across kids such as ours that were so respectful and well mannered. That was quite a few years ago when our older kids were growing up but we have kept (or tried) the momentum going with our late in life surprise. There is a major difference that I am noticing however and that is that the younger teachers don't like the well mannered kids that say yes mame or no sir. They will tell them not to call them that!!!
I know where you are coming from and have overheard the same thing more then once but sometimes dealing with people like I just told you about I have wondered why bother???
