pecans needing to be cracked

Collected several boxes of wonderful pecans on our property but no one in town cracks pecans anymore that I know of. Maybe in Bertram, or surrounding areas??

When I lived in San Saba I had beautiful, prolific pecan trees.

There are several places in San Saba that will crack, shell, buy, whatever you want.

I can't think of my favorite place at the moment.

I remember while growing up that half the fun of getting pecans was getting to use the "cracker":). hahaha.
It wasn't so fun when all we had was the old hand ones as those really were hard to do but when mom bought the "up town" one that had the spring action in it well it was really "cool":rockon:!
