Just a note -- if you're wanting to get decent $$ for the appliances, it's prob best to sell to an individual. Resellers usually offer pennies on the dollar. If you're just wanting to get rid of them (and they work) you might consider donating to Library Thrift store or contacting a local church ... tax deductible and a warm fuzzy ... what more could you ask for!

Also, if you just want to get rid of appliances or other goods, there is a local Freecycle e-mail group where you can list anything that you want to recycle by giving away. I have used it to find new homes for appliances, computer equipment and home electronics that I no longer wanted but did not want to throw away. (I currently have some kittens listed if anyone wants one).

What about Old monitors? I have 2 and the thrift shops don't want them.

You cant really give the old vga monitors away anymore. Everyone wants the lcd flat screens. I have tossed out 3 working ones myself in the garbage.
